CASE STUDY:
Brasa (formally known as Brasa Peruvian Kitchen), is a Peruvian fast-casual restaurant based in Toronto and New York. They came to Design of Brand to reimagine the identity of Brasa before it became a franchise. When they came to Design of Brand, the main colour was pink, and logo was cursive - reading very feminine and unappetizing. Our strategy for Brasa was to change the identity system to read Peruvian, appetizing, trustworthy, and fun. A core idea that we used to create this identity was Peruvian textiles. We spent a lot of time working on the colour palette and the widths of the colour blocks, to make the pattern feel as authentic and modern as possible.
At the beginning of this project, I completed a competitive analysis audit and created their strategy deck. Once we had our initial ideas, I worked with senior designers to edit through our options of logo typefaces and colour options. I designed the icon which can be found below. Throughout the project I created mock-ups to include in design decks, and finalized all client facing material. I was responsible for reaching out to the client, and relaying that information to the rest of the team. Once the client was satisfied with our design, I put together their brand guide and exported all of their final assets.
